About the Farmer
Mena Gold is a premium coffee sourced from the Dolok Sanggul district of North Sumatra. Smallholder farmers in the "Hutapaung" and "Ria Ria" areas carefully cultivate and harvest the coffee cherries, which are then meticulously processed and sorted to ensure only the highest quality beans are used.
At PT Musfaha Niaga Mandiri, over 323 farmers work closely with farmers groups to produce high-end quality Sumatra Arabica coffee, known for its "wild" cup and unique "greenish-blue" color. The process begins with the selective picking and sorting of ripe, red cherries, which are then wet-hulled and dried at the mill before being delivered to Medan for further processing.
