About the Farmer

This coffee is produced by smallholders who are members of OCCICAFE Cooperative from San Vicente municipality, 10 km away from La Plata, Huila. OCCICAFE has focused on improving its practices and quality steps since 2015.
Coffee farmers from this region deliver their coffee to the OCCICAFE lab where each lot is classified as commercial, regional, regional plus or micro lot. Coffees that meet the regional plus standard need to cup above 86 and moisture content must be between 10-11%. Coffees are sun-dried.

Situated roughly 10 kilometers from La Plata in Colombia's Huila department, San Vicente is characterized by its rolling green hills and rich soil. Nestled in the Colombian Andes, it sits at an altitude of 1500 to 1950 meters above sea level, creating ideal conditions for growing superb coffee beans. The soil in San Vicente is famous for its diversity and quality, made up of volcanic ash and sediments that give the coffee its unique taste.
