About the Region

The “Caramelo Doce” San Martin Farm is located in the middle of the Cerrado of central Brazil in the federal state of Minas Gerais, close to the Patrocinio district. It covers a total área of 35 acres and belongs to Mr. Nelson Rivelli that continues a family tradition that has been around for over 100 years. Besides the traditional processing method, the San Martin farm applies the “Eco Wash” method. After harvesting the cherries, the pulp is removed and left to dry in African beds. This process helps protect the environment.
