Sholi
A vibrant, sparkling Bourbon variety coffee with a rich history of community empowerment. Hand-picked at high altitudes (1,800–2,000 meters) by the Abateraninkunga Ba Sholi cooperative in central Rwanda, this washed A1-grade coffee delivers a remarkably clean, silky body featuring bright notes of blood orange, fresh raspberry, and a refined black tea finish.
Abateraninkunga Ba Sholi: Born from Mutual Assistance In 2008, 30 visionary women came together in central Rwanda with a singular goal: to invigorate the local coffee market and commercialize their harvest. They named their collective Abateraninkunga, which translates to "mutual assistance" in Kinyarwanda. What began as a tight-knit, female-led initiative quickly proved so successful that the cooperative opened its doors to men and local youth. Today, the Sholi Cooperative has grown to 690 members (276 women, 365 men, and 49 youth). By establishing robust traceability systems and investing heavily in regional infrastructure, Sholi has successfully secured better market access, improved the financial livelihoods of hundreds of families, and consistently elevated the quality of their exceptional specialty coffee.
